Disney Land - Day 1

Yesterday we picked the girls up from school and took them home as usual.  Once we got home they found a giant box in the living room from Jon and I.  Little did they know what we had planned, they opened the box and found a letter and some goodies as we were headed to Disney Land in about an hour.  Needless to say they were not totally excited at first and in fact Addison cried.  Once they figured out it was for real they were pretty excited.  We got checked into our hotel late last night and were up early this morning.  We grabbed some breakfast at the hotel where we got to meet Chip & Dale and then it was off to the park.  The girls enjoyed the Nemo ride, driving the cars and the Toontown Roller coaster.  We got to meet Pluto, Goofy & Mickey.  We took a break and headed for the pool and dinner.  After dinner it was back to the park for the evening Parade, that was Awesome (to use Addison's description)!  Now we are headed to bed so we can do it all again tomorrow...


 

 

 

 

 

 

Addison's FIRST day of 1st Grade

And she's off...1st grade here we come.  She was pretty excited to start school this morning...mom was a little weepy but oh well.

Frogs, Dogs, Decks and Goodbyes!

The last few weeks of our time at the lake was a lot of fun.  All the kids really got into catching frogs and so we had a frog race.  Mark & Rochelle had family up to the cabin one weekend and they brought more kiddos and a friend for Gunner, Barrett!  They are like 2 peas in a pod...

We had to say goodbye to family and new friends but all-in-all it was a good summer and we are already looking forward to next year!

A Visit to Aunt Lori & Uncle Harry's

Yesterday we made our annual trek to Lori & Harry's garden.  We had a fantastic visit and lunch.  As some of you know Lori & Harry have a garden that is the envy of the family.  We picked raspberries, fresh snap beans, green beans and basil.  I could have spent the day there, it was so peaceful.  The kids were totally entertained with the mini-4 wheeler.

 As most of you know Quinn has a very unique personality and can entertain herself with almost anything.  We were sitting on the beach and I look to see this little dance!  So cute and something we will always remember.
