Labor Day weekend in Jackson Hole

Jon and I got to get away for a few days over Labor Day.  We took a 3 day trip to Jackson, Wy.  Neither of us had been there in 10+ years so it was a lot of fun.  We were able to stay 2 nights in Grand Teton National Park.  We rode horse, went for a few bike rides and just hung out.  We were able to have dinner with my brother Keenan and his wife Ashley...it was fantastic.  The last night we stayed in downtown Jackson and did quite a few tourist stops...The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar, The Silver Dollar Bar and The Wort Hotel.  It was a great trip and we look forward to taking the girls with us sometime soon.

First Day of School 2014

The first day of school is always a hard day(s) for me as it means my girls are getting bigger.  Our school does things a little different in that they do a phase-in week so that everyone can get back in the routine a little easier.  Needless to say the girls did not start back on the same days.  They had a great time and were excited to see friends and teachers.

Addison started first and enjoyed her first day of second grade.  Her head teacher is the same but she has a new assistant as the previous year's assistant had a baby and is taking a year off.

Quinn started kindergarten this year.  Montessori is also different in the fact that the kindergarteners are in the same class with the preschool kids.  This is Quinn's fourth year in the same classroom so much was the same.  All of the teachers from last year have moved around so Quinn has all new teachers this year.

Boppa

Missing him on his birthday.  These pictures have been my screen saver for the past year because I want to remember him everyday.  I don't need a picture as a reminder because I have everything that he taught me as a reminder but it is nice to see his smiling face.  I do catch myself and the girls at times standing in front of the computer watching these pics scroll by.  Thank you Boppa for being the man that you were to all of us.  We love you so much and miss you everyday!
